The Four-Leaf Towers' symbol is derived from the four-leaf
clover pattern. The square-quadrant plan spreads from one central building core
like the fourleafs of the clover grows from central stem.
Cesar Pelli, world-renowned architect and Dean of the School of
Architecture at Yale University was chosen to design this landmark.
Pelli
believes architectural design can improve the quality of life, and healthy
architecture must grow from the characteristics of the time. One of the
characteristics of our time is glass. No one has more experience with it or uses
it better than Pelli. He took symmetry, glass and color, and wove them into two
landmark towers.
The square forty-story buildings stand amid a green
landscape; their colors, placed with precision on the sides in
silhouette-fashion, interact with the changing patterns of sunlight to create a
sense of animation. The Four Leaf Towers are distinctively graceful, yet not delicate. In
fact, their engineering strength and resistance to lateral movement comes from
their symmetry. However, the buildings are not all glass, In fact, the colored
glass is ceramic-coated and backed by solid wall just as efficient as marble or
brick.
On the thirty-ninth and fortieth floors, the location of the
penthouses, the square shape of the building become octagonal to form a top
crown. Standing at right angles to one another, the towers are formal and
elegant, crisply detailed, and bold in their colors.
Every unit in Four-Leaf
Towers offers residents great flexibility in adapting the function of each room
to suit their personal needs. Every bedroom is a self-contained suite with its
own private bath.
The emphasis on performance and visual excellence is
immediately apparent in the rich woods of the two-story entrance lobby, the
spacious foyers of each unit, the use of Italian Marble and tile, the completely
equipped kitchens with custom cabinetry and bronzed mirrors between cabinets,
the 9-foot, 2 inch ceilings in living areas, and the chrome hardware. The three
bedroom residence has an optional corner garden room. All properties have
operable windows, a wet-bar, powder room and generous storage areas in addition
to the individual storage units for each residence on the second floor.
Four-Leaf Towers include several privileged amenities that can be enjoyed by owners/residents; Private Parks , Recreational Plaza , Safety and Privacy and Underground Parking Garage to name a few.
Private Park : Four Leaf Towers can boast about a one of a kind private park in the area. With a formal standpoint, it is composed of Bermuda lawns and manicured shrubs laced with walkways. Supported in part by a 5.5 acre underground parking garage, the park rises from two feet above the street at its outer boundaries to five feet at the tower bases.
Recreational Plaza : In the northwest corner of the park is a sunken recreational plaza that connects to each tower by a series of walkways. Here, hidden behind rows of magnolias, poplars and cascading vines, are four lighted tennis courts, a large swimming pool, a whirlpool, canvas covered cabanas and outdoor cocktail bar.
Service and recreation also have been planned carefully. Separate saunas, whirlpools exercise and massage rooms for men and women are located on the first floor. A large party room, including a full-service kitchen and bar, overlooks the recreational plaza.
Safety and Privacy: Both safety and privacy had been kept in mind while designing the Four Leaf Towers buildings. Most floors in the buildings have only four residences. Adding to that, the sound transmission between rooms has been minimized. The air handlers are floor mounted to reduce noise and facilitate servicing. There are 15-inch sound-proof walls between residences and public areas. Smoke detectors, an extensive sprinkler system, a smoke exhaust system and emergency power generation increase each towers safety. Keys to the residences cannot be duplicated.
Underground Parking Garage: The underground parking garage has a single entry-exit with security patrol on duty 24 hours and television monitoring. A shuttle elevator and stairway connect the garage only with the main lobby and open in full view of the concierge.
